Welcome once again to my blog page! For this weeks assignment, we were tasked with creating another emotional scene. This happened about a few years back it was a pretty scary experience I had to witness but I thought I would share it and try to make it relate. We are basing our blogs off of a story called Hills Like White Elephants (Ernest Hemingway) and My Name is Margaret (Maya Angelou)
I was on my way out of the house feeling good. It was a nice sunny day and I had to go pick up a few things from the store for the family. We ran out of the things that most homes need to have throughout the day. We didn't have any toilet paper, toothpaste or anything to eat in the refrigerator. It was a bad week for us but anyway I was going to the store walking down Broad Street in Philly. There was a lot of traffic this Wednesday afternoon. Suddenly I noticed this blue Toyota zooming down the street not caring about the traffic lights, stop signs or pedestrians .I had to keep my distance so I was on the pavement just standing there like, “ Ayoo ! What the hell is he doing ?” I knew he was most likely gonna hit someone's car or somebody. There were two brown-skinned little girls wearing skinny jeans, black and red retro Jordans leaving out the store with their mom. Their mom ended up going back in the store because she forgot a bag that she paid for. Leaving the two girls outside. The one little girl had a sky blue hoodie and the other had a pink polo hoodie on. They were playing Tag on the side walk at first but ended up trying to run away from one another by going in the street not paying attention to traffic. The Toyota came down the street fast and was about to make those girls into two pancakes. The mom came back out the store thinking her girls were behind her for some reason And finally noticed them in the street. All you hear is ”VROOOMMM” the car racing down the street The mom see’s the car coming about to hit her daughter She runs to try and move them out the way but end up falling and there’s no time the girls just stand there in fear unable to move. The driver in the Toyota saw the girls in the street at the last minute and swerved right into the new Mcdonalds that just got fixed and remodeled. People were screaming and running out of the restaurant with their Big Macs and ten piece Mcnuggets. The police came five minutes later and arrested the driver. Another cop offered to take the little girls home but by the way they looked they were still struck with fear in their heart. Eventually they snapped out of it and took the offer from the police officer and got a ride home. I was standing there like “Wowwwww, did that really just happen? I almost started to forget what I was doing outside but it came back to me. I noticed that I hadn’t even gone to the store yet to get my little brother some tissue knowing he was most likely still on the toilet after all of this. So I proceeded with the rest of my day with caution. Even though everything seemed like it was gonna be a good day it turned out to be a crazy day.

I easily pictured the scene of the car about to hit the two girls. You also did a great job with keeping me at the edge of my seat... I kept wanting to read to know what was about to happen, great job.
